Trapped in a cycle of indeterminacy, Satie’s and Suzanne’s relationship is hanging on by a thread. Suzanne paints Satie’s portrait and contemplates whether or not she chooses to stay. The harmony is hollow as she is unsure about what she wants to do, but it grows more complex as she reflects on the pain and hurt the relationship has brought at times.
